For the first time since I’ve signed up to GlossyBox I managed to catch the postman just as I was leaving for work! I knew that day was going to be great and opening my box I wasn’t let down. I had a quick sneaky peek inside before work but I left the full rifle through until I got home later that day. This months box has been titled “Lipstick to Lashes” and we were given the chance to choose the shade of a product, which is the first time this has happened since I’ve been signed up. I suppose I’ll start with that product. It was a full sized Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick and there were 4 shades to choose from. Now at the moment I’m in a massive brown/nude phase with my lipstick colour choices so I jumped at the chance to add another to my collection. I ended up going for shade 001 Nude Attitude and I love it! It was one of the first products that I tried and it is as hydrating and nourishing as it claims to be! The colour also looks great when paired with MAC Whirl lipliner!

The next product in this box, which is also full sized is a MUA Eyeshadow Palette. When I saw that this was in the box I wasn’t too sure as to how good of a product it would be. Sure it has a great range of autumnal colours but would it have the same colour payoff as some of the higher end palettes? I swatched one of the taupe brown shades on the back of my hand and as first impressions go I wasn’t very convinced. Prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt I used it as a replacement for my Urban Decays Smokey palette and my initial suspicions were true. The palettes colour payoff is very minimum. I didn’t try every colour on the palette, after trying a few I ended up just switching back to my other palette. Probably the only product that I’ve been disappointed with since starting my subscription.

The only trial sized product in this months box is the Emite Diamond Heart Primer and I really really wish that it was full sized. I love this product! Unlike a lot of primers it has a peachy colour to it that is sure to balance any skin tone and provide a great base for all makeup looks! I only need to use a very thin layer before my makeup to get a great look! Or maybe it’s because I don’t want to use it all in one go! This will definitely be a product that I will be purchasing the full size of!

One product that I was surprised to see in a Glossybox was a set of false lashes. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I am useless at putting on lashes, so bad that I gave up years ago! I love the lashes that came in this box! They look so natural I may have to make another attempt at putting lashes on. And at about €7 a pack, If I happen to be successful and like the look of them, they’re cheap enough to pick up to wear on nights out. One thing that I hope they are is reusable, to some extent. I don’t plan for them to last me a year but getting a couple of uses out of them would make me love them even more.

The final product in this months Glossybox is the Royal Apothic Body Lotion. Also full sized this creme contains lactic acid to smooth and hydrate skin. Keeping skin moisturised especially throughout the winter months is so important. Moving between heated buildings to freezing cold air outside can wreck havoc with your skin. This body lotion is ideal to be used straight after a shower to keep your skin feeling soft and moisturised.

Overall this has been another great month from GlossyBox. My favourite product has to be the Revlon lipstick, very closely followed by the Emite Primer!

I really hope you enjoyed this post! Stay tuned to my page next week when I have a very very special Glossybox post coming your way!

Until next time,

Sophie x
